August 23, 1997 Science News reports "Reservoir of water hides high
above Earth" describing recent satellite images showing surprising
amounts of water vapor in the stratosphere. Well, I can’t remember
exactly which ‘sphere’ but it was above what could be accounted for by
‘upwelling’, indicating some support for the theory that Earth is
being bombarded by a greater volume of small icy comets than current
theory accounts for.
