OK, this isn't really hard science, but if they were really personality
transmitters (not radio transmitters), they would energize each other by
recieving as well as sending. The presence of transmitter B would cause
transmitter A to send its message, and B would get the message with a pulse
of energy, stimulating it to send its message to A.
