Lee, you're right that the history needs to be retrievable, and I _didn't_
say that, so you _have_ caught me up... Thanks.

However,
I maintain that being able to determine the counterpart's past
dealings with you is pretty darned close to "recognizing" the
counterpart.

I suppose the counterpart could recognize _me_, and post a
scorecard on his/her forehead before we game...

or a Godlike Being could whisper in my ear...

But absent some "recognition" somewhere, how is the retrieval to
take place?
