If the Dyson Sphere looks like a star, there's no way for the
thermodynamic engine to function. However, Infrared astronomy is just
beginning, and IR radiating Dyson Spheres might be the answer to the
missing "dark matter" problem, ie the answer to the Fermi Paradox is
"They're everywhere, you just can't see them" ...
(Note: a 100 AU Dyson Spere would have an IR temperature of Pluto....)
