Attachments from MS-Word and other programs with macro-programming
features are capable of infecting the user with viruses just by
opening the file (in fact the most common virus on PCs today is a
Word macro virus named "Concept"). And needless to say, it is only
readable by those with the software in question.
Even though I have the software, I will not open this attachment
for safety reasons, and those without it cannot. If your message
is important, I suggest that you put in the standard form of plain
ASCII text, or else it will be igored.
