Thanks for some interesting points. I realized since my last post that the
best solution to the problem would be to live in a world where it is
*impossible* to kill someone. This could be accomplished by uploading of
backup copies and cloning. In this way we would not have to deal with the
(in my opinion) very difficult ethical question of capital punishment.
