 10:32am up 90 days, 19:08, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
 10:59am up 72 days, 16:32, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
  5:43am up 76 days, 18:34, 1 user, load average: 0.07, 0.02, 0.00
 10:41am up 34 days, 21:58, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
  9:37am up 33 days, 18:24, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

All Linux boxes, all production, mission critical boxes. The top one
had 160 days uptime when a power problem in the data center caused a
reboot. Yes, that's 250days. The others have been rebooted by me for
my purposes, not because the machine needed it, I added hard drives,
flashed new BIOS into the boxes. I've never had to reboot one of these
boxes because of an error. There was a gentleman I know who had a
Linux 1.0.9 box at a remote location doing Shell, UUCP Mail, and
dialin with a 450 day uptime. Brittle isnt a word I'd use. (Although
looking at those lines, it's obvious I never set the system time to
anything realistic, it's 10:36AM)

This is probably not the best forum for the
Linux/BSD/Microsoft/Whatever OS Jihad. :)
