Thanks to all of you for your SF suggestions.
I've read "The Illuminatus! Trilogy" by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson.
It's really wild and funny; I didn't think to mention it, cuz, as you said,
it's not totally sci-fi. I've also read "Prometheus Rising" by R.A.W., which
is sorta nonfiction and might be of interest to extropians, being
futuristic, forward-thinking, and optimistic.
I had heard that "The Diamond Age" wasn't all that good, even tho' the topic
sounds interesting: nanotech, right?
