*** Vitamin E, Parkinson drug may slow Alzheimer's

Vitamin E and a drug used to treat Parkinson's disease may slow the
deterioration caused by Alzheimer's disease, researchers reported
Wednesday. Both substances are already available to the public.
Scientists said there is likely to be an immediate impact on
treatment. The study found that both vitamin E and the
anti-Parkinson's drug selegiline appeared to delay for six to seven
months the milestones of the disease, such as the inability to perform
basic activities of living, severe dementia and death. For the full
