Yes, I see what you mean. But is such deep OS level stuff really what
we mean by 'self', in preference to the day to day stuff? Or isn't it
both, the self being more a process of identification than a product:-
sometimes I might identify myself with the 'unconscious', sometimes with
some utterly trivial daily decision.
