Insanity has never been defined in that manner, and your first statement
implies that it is an end result of free thinking. Your
following statement about artists pushing themselves over the edge
implies that insanity can be voluntarily induced through excessively
creative brain activity, thereby establishing a cause and effect
scenario. There exists no science to back up any of
your statements, notwithstanding the progress of neuroscience in
mapping areas that are prone to imbalance, and your statements only
further the cultural mythos surrounding the artistic process.
