I've picked up a copy of "At Home In the Universe" some weeks ago, and I am
sorry to say I found it to be quite weak. Highly untypical of Stu K.'s
prosa. It does not seem (I am not through yet, though) to contain
results going beyond those of "The Origins of Order" (but some neat
microfossil pics are new), while at the same time lacking all the hard
data found in TOOO. Where's the beef?! one might be tempted to exclaim.
A heavily watered down version of TOOO, nothing else. If you have some extra
money _and_ time, buy it before reading T3O. Otherwise, invest in
platinum bonds, or beer.
