If one wanted to clone a body for spare parts, and wanted to avoid
the humanist ethical dilemna, would it not be more reasonable to
refine the method sufficiently to enable persons to clone specific
organs or limbs? One could freeze samples of the major organs, and
other areas of concern based on genetic testing, and then grow
replacement parts using equipment that would be small enough to be
managed by local clinics. It certainly would seem a more
cost-effective method than growing an entire human and finding a
place to store the rest of the body.
