Sounds like a great idea. But the main question is how to choose these
events? They obviously have to be reachable and in some sense natural. I
imagine a growing hierarchy of these; a level 2 rendezvous is surrounded
by level 1 rendezvouses etc. One could for example choose a triangular
coordinate system based on the line between the sun and the galactic
core, using subdivisions of the basic triangle (but how to do this in 3D?
there are few good tesselations).
