I completely agree. But even if we froze hardware development in computers
today we could probably squeeze two orders of magnitude better CAD/CAM
programs out of the technology. That alone would give us cheaper and more
reliable spacetravel.
We simply don't need something as radical as the singularity to achieve
much better space technology. But shure let's keep sending up a few rockets
now and then. But it's probably smarter right now to focus mostly on
comercial launches.
