Perhaps at high enough energies, but not in the cold depths of the present...
A "being" moving at lightspeed would perceive an universe with just a
single moment of time and 2 spatial dimensions; spacetime would be beyond
its observation capabilities (after all, it has just a single moment to
exist), but it doesn't mean that the universe is a single point (if it
was, how come I'm not telling you this face to face?).
Lightlike paths are null geodesics, paths of zero length that crisscross
the spacetime. In some sense they form a scaffolding for the rest of
reality where distances are nonzero.
