Field studies, archeological evidence, and reasoned evolutionary
theories are anecdotal? It is just this sort of routine dismissal
that has kept relevant research on relatively gender-neutral
paradigms from coming to light. Relying on contemporary examples is
precisely what led early archeologists to classify goddess statues as
'pornography'.
