Actually, depending on the layout of the device, while it does produce a
sine wave of thrust in the x axis(referencing my infamous animation) for
each mass in the system, it is not symmetrical in shape. Overlaying the
sine waves of several masses and summing them up shows a definite
production of thrust.
I've attached a jpg of one of these thrust charts from the simulator.
The line in the negative x area is the sum of the four driver sine
waves. The little peaks are due to Excels problems in dealing with
radian calculations.
I'm sorry that i don't have the simulator available right now. I'm
trying to shrink it down a bit (a 4 meg excel wb was what it started
as)so it'll run easy on a web page. THis chart was the output from an
earlier version.
