Once upon a time, in the extropians FAQ, I wrote "extropians have no
sense of humor, none whatsoever". Of course, I intended this as a joke,
but the various reactions to Mark Crosby's excellent parody are making
me start to think that a few people have taken that bit in the FAQ way
too seriously.
But then again, Lyle doesn't consider himself an extropian, so maybe he
really does lack a sense of humor. It certainly seems that way
sometimes. I wonder what he would make of Tim May's "Rapture of the
Future" polemic.
