Retinal Displays (FYI: TI's revolutionary DLP MDM device -- lightweight headup applications?)

Roughly, this is a standard SRAM, with 16 um mirrors on torsional
hinges. Operation is electrostatic, pixel switches in about 10 us.
Contrast: very high. Way beyond TFT. Resolution: multimegapixel.
Lifetime: almost infinite. Simulated tests showed no broken hinges at 20 Yr
simulated time. Now use a bright RGB (bright GaN LED for blue) LED
flasher, and project this onto the retina. (Throw away your laser scanner,
fast). DLP MDM will obsoletify CRT very soon, whether low-end or high-end.
(My fingers are itching for a prototype).
