Not too long ago the scientist was presented by the mass media as the "Mad
Scientist trying to take over the World!". This image is changing in new
flicks like Independence Day aka ID4 where Jeff Goldblum plays a scientist
working to discover how to combat the alien foe and destroy it before it
wipes the Earth clean of human life. Another example is the new flick Chain
Reaction with Keanu Reeves where scientists are using sonoluminescence to
create fusion power to generate clean plentiful energy for the whole planet
when things go awry.
