One should ask especially with vitamin C if its interaction with iron
was accounted for. Iron potentiates some of the oxidative events
leading to atherosclerosis.
The diet as a whole , especially antioxidant pathways such as phase 2
inducers in the production of glutathione are able to skew gross
results.

It is not the traditional way of research to create complexity based
analyses but if the results are to be meaningful especially in
biological systems this seems imperative to me.
