How about an eleven-day or maybe year-round celebration by each of us
coming up with new achievements?

Actually, I'm generally against these kinds of things -- holidays. I
see no need to compete with traditional or religious holidays. To some
extent, it's unnecessary. Religious types are not going to be converted
because the Newtonmas celebration looks so cool. And if it's merely an
excuse to celebrate -- and not to thumb one's nose at traditionalists --
then there's no need to put it in direct competition -- by holding it
the same time of the year as Christmas -- with traditional holidays.

Finally, one of the joys of atheism is not having to have stuff like
this. For example, every Sunday I sleep late.:)

Cheers!

"What Hans[-Hermann Hoppe] and I do is expose the enslaving function of
the managerial state that destroys community and poisons culture. Rather
than putting the monkey on the back of corporate capitalists, as the
Critical Theorists do, both Hans and I locate the hegemonic manipulation
of society in 'democratic' public administration. Note we never deny
that unprincipled or brainwashed capitalists run in to participate in
this process; nor do I suggest that academics and clergy would not be
raving multiculturalists without government support." -- Paul Gottfried,
