Harvey,
I think you can discern that I am advocating two things:
1. Be suspicious of government so that we can perform oversight as citizens.
2. Get you facts straight and then apply them with some reason.
This was not "a case where we saw people with weapons in a location
and killed them without finding out who they were first." We don't have all
the facts yet to suit me but it appears the pilot saw weapons firing (they
were) concluded they were firing at him (they weren't) and as he was at
diminished mental capacity from taking speed (prescribed by the USAF)
concluded that the fire was hostile and he attacked. Now it appears that the
brass is attempting to crucify the pilot instead of admitting he was on speed
as a resulf of their policy.
I think it was in the late 40s when I first heard of the USAF using
drugs to alleviate fatigue in pilots on long missions. Now people are saying
the drug used is speed.
Anyway, this is the charge we need to be investigating. Why are our
pilots so fatigued that they need speed to keep them alert? Or is the whole
thing misinformation on the part of someone?
