Some of his ideas have been implemented in the past in various internet
startups he worked for. These were essentially ideas in the realm of
intelligent agents, reputation brokering, etc. which are now embedded
in the reality of the internet that most of us use them every day
without stopping and noticing how they have been rendered into code and
web pages.

I frankly doubt that you've been so bereft of ideas. I have noticed
that some of my best ideas come to me either in my sleep or just as I
am going to sleep (I've called this 'Dream CAD' in a few posts in the
past). Remembering them, or conciously getting up to write them down
has been the main hindrance to doing anything with them. I had one such
the other day as I was falling asleep and got up and typed it into my
laptop....

I'll bet you are in a similar situation. I have heard of techniques to
train yourself to get up when you have a dream or idea in your sleep...

I recommend contacting Extropian Simon Levy to get in touch with his
ex-wife and his son, who currently have his writings that are not still
available on the web. Simon is not on this list, but I am sure that Max
or Natasha knows how to get in touch with him.
