Human ability or disability to conceive of a nonexistent universe is
irrelevant; and no matter, no energy, no space, no time and no laws of
physics does not contain any self contradictions that I know of. I think the
problem is that any potential answer in the form X exists because of Y
immediately brings an obvious question to mind.
