Actually Hubert, the Russian constitution is newer dating from ~93-94
I think. While I've read newspaper reports stating that it is relatively
"modern" (I think several westerners were involved in its drafts).
But I think it is also very complex, containing hundreds of articles
and perhaps even a couple of contradictions (which is what happens
when you have hundreds of articles).
And then there is the problem that the government will ignore it
when it is inconvenient.
