A rough story, indeed. Here, a man was scared and did a not-too-bright
thing. That is, he tried to run from the police. He was tackled and
as one officer tried to handcuff him, the other shot him multiple
times. At the hospital, writhing in pain, the man was interrogated and
it seems that the police were "leading the witness" as it were. They
obviously weren't very concerned for his well-being - emotionally or
physically.
The subject of this post alludes to Samantha's ongoing attempts to get
members of this list engaged in political dialog regarding the erosion
of American constitutional rights. This is a prime example.
I don't fear being shot and interrogated while bleeding in a hospital.
I'm afraid of ending up in a Kafka-esque situation, where I'm held
indefinitely in a secret location, being asked questions I don't have
answers to. Like high school. Yikes.
