I previously mentioned:
> Vaccine May Be First for Cancer
> http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A17709-2002Nov20.html
My pushing this may have been a little overhyped since
Science Daily has an article today discussing a vaccine
against only HPV-16 (there are dozens of different types
of HPV).
"Vaccine Against HPV-16, A Virus Linked To Cervical Cancer, Appears
Effective"
http://www.sciencedaily.org/releases/2002/11/021122075011.htm
So either there are two stories about the topic going on
at the same time or the Washington Post report has some
serious faults in it.
Mind you, a vaccine against even one of the HPV variants
that can cause cervical cancer is a good thing. So its
cause for extropic dancing in the aisles. Step by step
science is backing major causes of death back into a
very small corner.
Sidebar: Can we do the next Extro Conf. as a parody of a
Baptist revival meeting?
But in the meantime I'm sitting here somewhat confused.
