Oh, no! Here, in fact, is where I think Rafal may be
off the beam a little. He has said (although to be
fair to him I didn't read all of his exchanges with
you) that it depends a bit on one's *opinion* whether
one is the same person or not.

For me, it's quite an objective phenomenon, even though,
needless to say, we cannot measure it precisely at this
time (and there will always be alternate scales on which
to measure it).

And I certainly do *not* mean any of this in that
pedestrian sense.

Indeed. Something quite strange is going on, even though
you don't evidently realize it yet the way that Rafal,
Jef, and I do.

Why not go back to my post and answer the questions
it has? You'll see that something preternatural is
going on when you realize that you survive your trip
through the 1000-way duplication chamber. Here is
