THE SPACE SHOW

The October 30, 2002 Space Show program will feature Rick Tumlinson, a
leading advocate, champion, and authority for commercial space
development. The Space Show, hosted by Dr. David Livingston, focuses on
timely and important issues influencing the development of outer-space
commerce and space tourism, as well as other issues that are of interest
to us all.The Space Show will air live 8-9 PM Pacific Standard Time,
Wednesday evening Oct. 30, 2002 on KKNW 1150 AM in Seattle and on the
internet per the listening instructions provided below.

Rick Tumlinson, besides being a well-known evangelist for the space
frontier, has had his writings, quotes, and opinions appear in the NY
Times, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, Miami Herald Readers Digest, Space
News and dozens of other publications. He has also appeared on numerous
national TV programs, including ABCs World News Tonight, the CBS Morning
Show, and Politically Incorrect. At one time, Mr. Tumlinson worked for
noted scientist Gerard K. O'Neill at the Space Studies Institute at
Princeton, and he helped pass the Space Settlement Act of 1988. In
addition, he has testified before the National Commission on Space, and
was a lead witness in congressional hearings on NASA in 1996 and 1997.
He is one of the three founders of the Space Frontier Foundation and a
founder of the Foundation for the International Non-Government
Development of Space (FINDS), a multi-million dollar foundation which
funds breakthrough projects and activities. He is also a founder of
LunaCorp, a firm planning commercial missions to the Moon. Mr. Tumlinson
led the effort to save the Mir Space Station and he was instrumental in
making space tourism possible for Dennis Tito and those that follow him.
Mr. Tumlinson will be discussing many of these projects, the barriers he
encountered, and how he worked through the barriers to successful
resolutions. We will also explore in depth with him the need and urgency
to develop a human presence in space. Listeners are encouraged to call
