Wow, cool, something on the web by Amara...

What about 140s and 150s? That gives you enough time to become wealthy.
[The stupid path to wealth is to invest $1000 in an index fund and forget
about it for 70-80 years.] Should any child be born into a situation
where there are insufficient resources to give them an optimal set of
opportunities?
As a side comment -- how many Extropians have done this? Do you (we?)
have a Plan B here? What if for some reason "intelligence" and/or
uploading turn out to be *really really* hard but lifespan extension
turns out to be easy? I.e. there is *no* singularity within the
next 200 years. Wouldn't we all like to be sitting around sipping
our margaritas on the GAIA cruise ship in 2150?
Also, due to exoradiation induced double strand breaks, there is an
expiration date on any frozen eggs unless you go to extreme lengths
(e.g. putting your eggs in a LN2 dewar in the Homestake Mine).
I'm not sure precisely when the DSB problem would become significant
but I am sure that it isn't something that you should ignore.
