There is definitely a reference in an older Paul Davies Book I read - maybe
Beyond the Black Hole - to energy extraction from 2 rotating black holes,
and to using gravity extraction platforms of some sort to mechanically
extract energy from a body with massive gravitational attraction. Sorry to
be so vague but I gave the book away a while ago.
