A new and unusual venue for this month's ExtroBritannia get-together on
Saturday the 26th of October at 12,00 o'clock: London's Science Museum.
The reason: it's a great place with plenty to see for technophiles
and the current exhibition "Metamorphing" is the perfect backdrop to
this month's topic: morphological freedom. As background reading,
we'll use Anders Sandbergs' paper of the same title.

We are meeting at 12.00 o'clock in the "picnic area" (see below for
directions). As the name implies it's ok to bring sandwiches (some
might prefer to go to a café or restaurant – we'll see...)
While you are at the Science Museum you might want to have a look at
some of the many other exhibitions (the James Bond one, perhaps?
Please note that this, unlike "Metamorphing" is not free and costs
£8,95)

IMPORTANT:
Once inside the Science Museum make sure you get hold of a map
(you'll need it!) and make your way to the "megabite picnic area" on
the first floor (marked by the number 5 on the first floor on the
map). If this is your first time, look out for a copy of
Kurzweil's "the Age of Spiritual Machines" being displayed at our
table.
DIRECTIONS:
The Science Museum
Exhibition Road
South Kensington
London SW7 2DD
Buses:
9, 10, 14, 49, 52, 70, 74, 345, C1
Nearest tube station is South Kensington: still inside the station,
turn right just outside the ticket barrier, take the underpass and
just follow the signs (it's quite a walk).
