I'm forwarding this from another list just to point out the acceleration
of a trend many people may be unaware of. The state-of-the-art in Hg/Cd/Te
sensors to date (in my understanding) had been 256x256 or or perhaps 512x512
pixels. This report documents it going to 2048x2048.
