those paths?

Robert,
I think I have seen evidence for both of those and perhaps evidence of
a third path also -- the path of the religious fanatic.
Right after 911 I was talking to a young Moslem male. He was probably
between 25 & 30 y.o. He was hanging his head and roundly cursing the guys
that initiated the 911 attack. He told me how he and his family had came
here and not only worked hard but had a lot of progress for their work. His
view was that the 911 attackers were messing things up for everyone.
As to bin Laden I think he is in this for self aggrandisement -- power
and wealth. Some tell me he isn't but as I look at his moves it appears that
he is. For someone to tell me he isn't after power & wealth is like
insisting that a bank robber isn't after the money. He is promoting one
agenda verbally but I notice that the achieveing of that agenda will bring
him lots of power and wealth.
I have also been face to face with two men that told me their theories
on the motives of United States. Both of them seemed totally disconnected
from reality. They were easy to distinguish from folks that honestly
disagreed with us on this matter or that. I have also heard a lot of this on
the Moslem list where I listen. Some of those people have complaints that
are totally disconnected from anything we have ever actually done or even
thought of doing.
