A light-foot is pretty close to a nanosecond, isn't it?
One of my early jobs was timing sporting events; mostly bike races
in the summer and ski races in the winter. I wrote lots of software to
interface with timing equipment and print reports. One of those was
to calculate velocity from two timers set a short distance apart on
a ski hill. I had to add unit conversion factors, and for some reason
(probably just boredom) we came up with about two dozen possible units
from "percent Earth orbit velocity" to "furlongs per fortnight".
