My friend Kimball Collins swears that someone on this
list recently proposed a thought-experiment that has
helped convert him to the pro-teleportation view.

He says that the poster in effect suggested that (a)
one go to sleep, (b) a duplicate of one is made while
one sleeps (c) the original is disintegrated and the
duplicate later wakes up.

According to Kimball, this experiment makes it start to
look a little silly to think that who wakes up isn't you.

So we thank whoever came up with it.

John Clark too might allow an overlap like this
since one is not conscious when it occurs.
