No apology necessary. I'm just glad someone finally actually read what I
tried to share. Personally, and in light of 9/11, it scares the hell out
of me. We have a people that live in ignorance and not entirely of their
own doing. Their leaders are despots that fear democracy and so feed the
ignorance and the hate. This ignorance leads to fear of modernity and
all things the west, "The Great Satan", has to offer. So the concoction
becomes hate+luddite+ignorance+fear+religious fanaticism. Can there be
anything more against Extropianism?

P.S. It took me several days maybe a few weeks really to digest what
Bloom wrote. The thing is his references are all in order, he's not
making it up.
