AU meeting tomorrow - Sunday, October 12, 2002 - at former Jolly Roger in OC, CA

I am not a particular fan of Atheists United as an
organization. They play politics, taking positions
such as opposition to School Vouchers and Home
Schooling, as a result of the "Progressive" humanist
dominance, even as libertarian members protest.
Should libertarians someday dominate the organization
- which might happen - then perhaps links to John
Gatto's site may set the "Progressives" teeth on edge.

Nonetheless, the local meeting attracts enough
interesting people of various persuasions, many
willing to both argue and listen, to make it
worthwhile if you're in the mood. Usually they get 12
to 35 people, with a scattering of libertarians,
Randians, and/or extropians or sympathizers.
