Maybe. But the IPO market is pretty much dead for who knows how long.
That in turn is driving the VCs back into the closet. The net result
is a definite slowdown in the potential rate of innovation if not the
rate of innovation itself.

So while we can point at the "conservatives" (I'm using this term loosely
as in the "collective" that several speakers cited at Extro 5) as a
group likely to have blood of millions on their hands -- it would seem
that we could cite the "average" investor, stock broker, VC partner,
banker, etc. as certainly standing close enough to the carnage so as
to be splattered in red.
