### No, it won't. All you need to upload is the pattern of neural
connections, synaptic strengths, and rules of modification of these elements
in response to stimuli. Unless you are talking about stimuli directly acting
on genes (e.g. genotoxic poisons), you don't need the gene sequence anywhere
in the system (I understand you mean the DNA sequence by "genetic
information"). Anything that doesn't directly chemically or physically
depend on interaction with the DNA (=everything that matters), can and will
be emulated by information structures replicating proteins, membranes, ion
channels, gradients of ion concentrations, electrical currents, etc. No
genes needed.
