If it were to insure Brian only, then might I suggest
doing so off-list? If, as I assume you mean, it was
meant to warn others as well, then your choice of
phrasing was really poor. I believe the quote started
as "Nobody mistakes Olga for being interested in
rational discussion...". Perhaps something more like
"It has been my experience that Olga does not partake
in rational debate..." (this is not an expression of
views but an attempt to reword) would display the same
sentiment but not sound so spiteful.

I did not get that impression on reading it, in fact
having little recollection of Olga's prior posts,
interpreted what she said as supporting libertarianism
by encouraging members to try and get a better public
reputation instead of the crazy image she, and
apparently you, agree they have. I could have
misinterpreted her original post, but either way, your
post came accross as a cheap shot...I wasn't sure if I
alone perceived in that way, but later posts reflect
that others agree...so whether justified or not, you
are portraying an image to others that you may/may not
want associated with yourself.

Again, I thought nothing less of libertarians from her
post. In fact, I read the news clips, one about a
candidate turning blue from silver (oxide?), and
didn't even necessarily think of him as a kook, but
just that he received a bad press revue for
experimenting in health issues. I agree that people
who read that article probably saw him as some wacko,
and associated it with libertarian ideals, whereas it
would help anyone who believes in libertarian ideals
to get some more positive press to be associated with.
