Frankly I have long thought this whole series of events in the middle
east were the results of various folks wanting power over oil or wishing to
deny power to those they considered dangerous That includes the Saudis,
Sadaam, bin Laden, the US, and very likely the Chinese. A lot of people seem
to have missed the developing connection Afghanstan has to the energy market.
