That could be. If they're untrustworthy it matters little what the
motivations of those that allege them are are.

It's like police corruption, date rape, crimes of war, animal
mutilation, arson, toxic waste disasters, bigotry, or mass murder of
innocents: the victims are against it and those unaffected are against
it.
