Re: POLITICS or Just Plain Hubris?

Last time I checked, the extropian vision seemed quite
broad and inclusive. Whether we're talking
singularity, upload, transhumanism, life extension,
general advances in the human condition,
affiliated/related subjects, or how to get there, it
seems highly artificial to restrict some topic or
other, such as politics, for example. Certainly a
socialist extropian is likely to have a very different
vision of the post-singularity, upload future than a
libertarian.

While various threads have tended to repeat ad
nauseum, I find it easy enough to just ignore them. I
certainly don't have the time to read the whole list
of emails! So, I pick what looks interesting and
mostly I'm happy, and if I didn't find at least
something to disagree with or wonder what the writer
was thinking, then I start to worry. What would be
the point of a list of clones? Shall we all just
agree to type in "Ohm" every day and be happy we're
all on the same wavelength?
