There is a very good one page article in the October issue of WIRED
by Cynthia Fox on growing transgenic plants (corn) to produce
biopharmaceuticals.(page 40 in my issue)
Best line: " Transgenic crops can make proteins up to 50 times
cheaper, and three times faster than standard bioreactors can."
I can hear Robert B singing "Green Acres" already.
