I often look at http://www.sciencedaily.com/
and http://www.sciencenews.org/

But the best thing is really to read the News and Views of Nature and
Science (trouble is, they require paid access).

Other than that, I prefer to read a broad spectrum of views - since you
cannot avoid bias it is better to get many different biases of the same
story so you can start to untangle them.
