It raises some interesting questions with respect to the assembly
of extinct genomes. Yes their genomes are fragmented. But if I
have enough copies of 20 base pair overlaps I can reconstruct them
as their OEM forms would be.

### This is why I do not think that resurrecting dinosaurs is truly
impossible. Even very badly degraded DNA, even with adducts and depurinated
bases, should be enough, if you dissect the T.Rex bone at single-atom
resolution.
