My home is on land of the Sliammon Band. (They are one
of a number of tribes of native peoples here in BC,
who are referred to as the First Nations). They "own"
(the quotes are there 'cause "ownership" is a white
guy 'thing'.) the land, and lease it out long term.
The house is owned separately (though not by me) and
can be sold in the usual fashion.
That might make me one of the few white men (jew boy,
actually) living in justice and harmony with the
native peoples of my hemisphere.
